Founding story
From a crew app to a crew operations platform
OffBlock was founded in 2018 in Crailsheim, Germany, with a narrow starting point: give crew a usable interactive roster instead of a printout. Airlines then asked the same question repeatedly — if the roster is live in the crew's hands, why is everything around it still moving by phone and email.
Answering that turned a crew app into a platform. Communication generated from operational data, briefings that follow the duty day, compliant logbooks, radiation monitoring, crew check-in — each module added because an airline needed it to run its operation, not because it rounded out a feature list.
